Nice to see you again. I think you are right that being a peer educator is a very hard work. Of course, I can be your friend. The weather is hot in Canada now because now is summer time, but it will be cold in winter. My home is in Taiwan. The food we usually eat is rice and some fish, beef, pork. You can have some other food from other countries in Taiwan. How long is your school day? How many people are in a public school? Yours sincerely, Michael
Dear Paul, Hi Paul, I am glad to talk with you again. I am very sorry but I don't know any tongue twister. You know what?Last time, Mr.Johnson came to our English class, and asked us to write a letter to Ms.H.He asked us how to describe Ms.H, and I said "hard", but Mr.Johnson heard "hot". In China, the staple food is rice, most people eat it. In Canada, there are so many staple foods because the people in Candada come from different countries, such as India, China, England, France or else.In China, the education system is 6-4-4-4. Six years for primary school, four years for middle school, four years for highschool, and four years for university. What does Karima looks like? Is it beautiful?
Dear Esther, How are you, Esther ? I am Hanbin. I'm happy to recieve your mail, and here are some answers for your questions.
The president in Korea, where I came from, is President Lee, and in here, Canada, our Prime minister is Mr.Stephen Harper.
I will introduce the education system in Korea. In Korea, school starts at 8:15, and ends at 4:10, and after school, students usually go to institutes, and do tutoring. But in Canada, school starts at 8:20 and ends at 3:10.(and some students do tutoring after school)
The staple food in Korea, is rice and Kimchi. Do you know Kimchi? It's very traditional and popular food in Korea. We have eaten Kimchi almost a thousand years ago. I think Kimchi is the invention of ancient ancestors' wisdom. The staple food in Canada... I don't know how to explain exactly what they eat (because you know, Canada is the country that many kind of people around the world come and live) but I think seafood is really important and famous sources in Canada, because Canada has beautiful and fresh sea water and nature.
My hobby is listening to music. I really like to listen to music because I feel comfortable and calm when I listen to music.
Can I ask you some questions ? I'd like to know how many students are in your class, and what students do after school.
And I'm sorry that I don't know any tongue twister... But I enjoyed yours ! It was really funny. One more thing that I want to let you know, is I think we can send our picture next Monday. Bye and take care !
